Selimiye

Selimiye is situated 70 kilometres from Marmaris via the Hisarönü road, and is one of the most beautiful coves of Hisarönü Bay. It is a fishing village that foreign nature enthusiasts visiting Marmaris often discover on their own, and has lovely scenery, a modest and quiet lifestyle, and amicable people. Its waters are a sparkling blue, and offer great opportunities for snorkelling. When almond trees are in blossom, the view is truly spectacular. The full moon that rises over the western side of the bay is stunning. The undulating road leading to Bozburun offers lovely panoramic views of the bay.
Selimiye boasts perhaps the freshest and most delicious fish, and the locals have only recently begun to transform their homes into quaint guesthouses or build small apartment hotels and motels. There are also a few restaurants in the vicinity.
There are minibuses running to Selimiye from Marmaris, check times here.
