Orhaniye

On the 30th kilometre of the road leading from Marmaris to Hisarönü and Bozburun, there is a beautiful cove within Hisarönü Bay. The stretch of a pathway just beneath the waters’ surface, called Kız Kumu, is a wonderful sight to see. There are various legends as to how this reddish 750-metre walkway came into being. This is a must-see venue for anyone who has travelled to Marmaris, and there are a few pensions and restaurants available for visitors.
A newly established yacht marina has also begun to function. On a small islet within the bay, ruins of an ancient fortress are visible, reminding us of the past.
