Palamutbuku

Palamutbükü is 25 kilometres from Datça, and 12 kilometres from the ancient city of Knidos. It is one of the loveliest bays on the Datça Peninsula, boasting a long sandy beach as well as smaller coves. Surrounded by orchards and mountains, it is a calm bay with fresh sea air.

Palamutbükü gets its name from the acorns that were once abundant here (palamut means acorn in Turkish), but presently it is well known for the tasty and highly sought after olives and almonds grown here. Village houses, small bed-and-breakfasts and summer houses line the bay, interspersed among lush groves of trees. Fishing boats and sailing yachts anchor at the small harbour.
