Regions

Marmaris and the surrounding area have a lot to offer, and are divided into five geographic regions here to make it easier for you to track and see where you might go and what you might do. This is the area that is the bottom left corner of rectangular Turkey, where the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean, also where turquoise meets all shades of green, as rugged, verdant hills rush down to meet bays that curve along the shoreline.

The area we cover here is all within the Muğla province, so if you choose to visit any of the places described here, you won’t need to travel long distances. But you certainly might discover fun-filled family adventures, options for entertaining evenings, archaeological sites and museums steeped in history, various sporting activities, or how to hop on a boat or a yacht and sail away from it all...

Many of the beaches and marinas in and around Marmaris have been granted Blue Flag status, which is an international award given to coastal venues that have achieved the highest quality in water, facilities, safety, environmental education and management—so feel free to jump right in! A list of the Blue Flag beaches and marinas in the Muğla province may be found here Blue Flag Offical Website

You might live here; it may be your first visit or your tenth—no matter, there are surprises and delights hidden throughout the area for each and every one of you!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people and the official bodies who have contributed to the images and videos on this site. For a list of those involved click here...
