The bright, airy atmosphere obviously appeals to the younger generation—and not just because of the wireless internet access and a ‘loan’ laptop for those without. The décor owes something to the artistic flair of the owners who also offer their menu with truly genuine smiles. Background music is a mix of Turkish and international pop sprinkled with classical, depending on the clientele at the time.
Orange Cafe offers a simple menu; burgers, grills and salads all nicely presented and very reasonably priced. They also accept the major meal cards like Sodexho, Ticket, Set Card and WinWin. Being on the ground floor wheelchair access is good but there is no special toilet facility, the staff however will be pleased to help if they can.
Open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 AM all year round, they accept cash and not credit cards. Turkish and English is spoken. Oddly, due to local regulations they can’t offer alcohol when the (very) local school is open, but as Turkish schools enjoy a long break during summer then you can quench your thirst here with a beer during late June, July, August and early September. They also operate a take-away service on their “Meal crisis line”.
