Dolphin Hotel - Restaurant
Situated on the shore road east of Bozburun, the Dolphin Hotel sits directly on the seafront.
The hotel staff will pick you up from the central bus stop free of charge. During the summer, they use a small platform of ‘artificial beach’ for sun beds and swimmers. The Dolphin Hotel and its restaurant are situated one level up, and so are unsuitable for anybody uncomfortable with the rough stone steps.
The restaurant utilises a lovely shady terrace overlooking the sea, and retreats to a covered area during the winter. The menu is simple and wholesome, and portions designed to fill—according to the owner.
The hotel is a delight, hewn from the rock face of the cliff; the lower hallway has a straight wall for the room sides and a ‘wavy wall’ forming the back. This also acts as a natural air-conditioning system similar to houses built in the North African desert; airflow is generated seemingly from nowhere!
The rooms have a sea view, are good-sized, air-conditioned, and each one is decorated with a personal touch; there’s none of the mass produced hotel room here! (The VIP suite has a positively hedonistic feel to it). You will feel like a true guest here, and not just a customer. There is also wireless Internet available. English is limited but two of the owner’s sons speak enough to get by.
A recent addition to the facilities is a 15-metre, four-cabin gulet. The hotel offers a mixed stay, ashore and afloat, tailored just for you.
