Marmaris and Environs

Marmaris is the largest locality in the area and the one that was settled the longest; in the past Marmaris was the only administrative district here, and governed all the others. While the area used to be much more engaged in agriculture, its natural beauty did not go unnoticed for long and today it is a tourist-haven catering to different needs and interests.
